AN 11mm (MAUSER) REPEATING BOLT-ACTION RIFLE SIGNED SPANDAU, MODEL 'MAUSER M71/84', serial no. 7641, circa 1888, with 32in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, the top-flat at breech signed 'SPANDAU' and stamped with a crown over 'F.W.', octagonal receiver stamped with the model designation (faint), miss-matched bolt with straight handle, walnut full-stock, under-barrel tubular magazine, iron heel-furniture, the front cap with bayonet bar, surfaces darkly staining with some shallow pitting
